“The original plein air sketch of this painting was done on-site in a rainstorm where the water made it impossible to capture it the way I wanted to. I was in love with this view and the richness of the colors caused by the rain, I just had to paint it again. That’s not so different from life, sometimes we have to try again, always finding there were invaluable lessons learned in the storm.”
