Symbols of Life

I found myself mesmerized at this enchanting, glittering flow of cool refreshment moving over the huge boulders in the Sawtooth Mountains in Idaho. With some time to think, I realized that not only is water a “life giver” to the land, but that the water is a symbol for spiritual life as well. Sunlight is pretty much the same thing, giver of physical life and a symbol for spiritual life. We must look to the Son of God and apply the life-giving atonement as liberally as a good watering in the garden, or maybe as constantly as the flow of a waterfall.
