Lamb of God

“I asked for sheep for Christmas last year, I know it was a funny request, but my good son Jonathan fulfilled my request by bringing 8 ewes and 1 ram home on the 23rd of December. I really thought it would be neat to see little lambs running through the dandelions in the spring. Little did I know that our first would be born the next day on December 24th, at about 10pm It was 8 degrees below zero with light snow falling when we discovered the little guy, shivering in his wet curly coat that was too big for him.  There are a multitude of lessons to be learned from shepherding. My prayer for you would be that you may learn the lessons easier than I did. I can tell you my most tender feelings are aroused when I think of the symbols of a new lamb born when we are celebrating Christmas.”
