If Any Lack Wisdom

The remarkable, world altering events of Early Spring 1820 give humanity a never-ending amount of new information to ponder. Since Art is all about “Seeing” I may never tire of painting or pondering the topic of what many call the “First Vision. In July 2019 I received an invitation to paint a new image for this event. Then at BYU Education week I learned in depth the details, carefully extracted from history which changed all the colors in my imagination surrounding the sacred event. Certainly, this was the first vision for young Joseph, but a boy at the time, but not the first nor the last, for humanity, nor for you and I. The key likely is having a sincere desire, and a question. After all, “ If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God.”
