Gold in Main Creek

This was a day when my friends and I went out to paint. The moving water was so entrancing, we chose to sit by the stream. There are legends of Spanish gold mines in this area, and many have traveled these hills looking for remnants. I wasn’t looking for hard rock gold, but I did find for myself gold amongst the leaves and light that glittered all around me.
