Firehole Falls

This painting comes from time spent in Yellowstone. Luckily, we had the place to ourselves for a while, which allowed us to feel a reverent wonder at its brilliance. I especially liked the deep pools of clear water. This trip meant a lot to me as it was the first one that I took specifically for painting; it felt like an achievement.
