Desert Water

Knowing that water in the desert is a metaphor for the Gospel of Jesus Christ bringing life to the wilderness of the world, we found great delight in this crystal-clear stream at the base of Mt Graham (in Arizona) We were hot and weary and sorely needed the cool refreshment we felt as we sat with our feet in the water marveling over the beautiful life we found at the edges of the stream. The gospel really is what brings us joy in life, in the same way that water brings life to the desert. It has never been more apparent than it was in the heat of that day.
