Bright Angel Trail

My husband had a profound experience on the Bright Angel Trail many years ago. When he started the hike, it was a beautiful day, but a powerful storm descended, and he felt he would be swept off the cliff by the mighty wind and rain. He was inspired to run. Despite the logic of this thought, he did so and quickly found protection in the shelter of a rock outcrop. Nature is incredible at reminding us of the divine with awe-inspiring power, followed by intense beauty. Once the storm had passed, he witnessed life and color springing up all around him, reminding him of the majesty of God and gave great comfort to his soul as he knew he had experienced symbolically a fierce storm in his life and it too would pass.
