The location is the head waters of the Jordan River at Banias. or Ceasarea Phillippi. When I first visited this place, it was with a BYU tour of the Holy Land. Did you know that this is where Christ and his disciples were sitting when Jesus asked Peter, “ whom do men say that I am?” He repeated the question until Peter searched inside for the answer of what he personally thought. Then Christ commends him for his knowledge had come from above. This is true for each of us, to be truly life giving our knowledge must come from the rock of revelation. This painting is more well known as the Headwaters of Jordan River, which is featured in the LDS Conference Center.
